The FDA and Mead Johnson have announced the recall of over 40,000 cans of Gentlease powdered formula, lot number BMJ19, due to metal particles contained in the powder. The cans were distributed beginning December 16, 2005 in retail stores across the country. The cans are stamped on the bottom with lot number BMJ19 and “use by 1 Jul 07”.
Anyone who has this batch of formula should not use it and should contact Mead Johnson at 888-587-7275. You should not return the formula to the store where you purchased it.
