FDA Issues Warning About Infant Acetaminophen Confusion

As I warned, changing the formulation of infant acetaminophen drops to match children’s liquid has resulted in confusion as both products are still on store shelves and in some homes, and some parents are used to giving the old dose of the old formula of infant drops. This can result in an overdose.
If you are using acetaminophen liquid in your child, make absolutely sure you are giving the right dose for the product you are using. Check the box and use the dropper or syringe that came with that particular bottle of medicine.
