Merck Discontinues Separate Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Vaccines

Merck announced at a meeting last week that it will no longer manufacture separate measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines.  These vaccines became unavailable over the past few years, but it was unclear if they would resume production at some point.  Merck will only manufacture the MMR-II vaccine, which is the only vaccine available in the United States for measles, mumps, or rubella.
